Product Description
The RS10 is a 10 HP two-stage reciprocating compressor built for continuous commercial and industrial duty in workshops, fabrication plants and service facilities. It delivers 35.4 CFM @ 175 PSI / 38 CFM @ 100 PSI and can be wired for 208-230V/460V three-phase power at 60 Hz. Typical current draw is 28A @ 230V; 14A @ 480V. Its two-stage cast iron pump uses Swedish steel valves and needle bearings at both ends of the crankshaft, and the valves can be reached without removing the cylinder heads. An enclosed belt guard houses an aftercooler, an automatic tank drain clears condensate, and a low-oil monitor shuts the unit down before the pump can run dry. The motor is an industrial unit with a factory-mounted, pre-wired magnetic starter and UL-listed controls. The drive motor is a totally enclosed, fan-cooled (TEFC) three-phase unit. Start and stop are automatic, with a centrifugal unloader that takes load off the motor at each restart. Compressed air collects in a powder-coated, ASME-tested 120 gallon receiver; the vertical tank keeps the floor footprint modest. A tank discharge ball valve, stainless steel flex lines and a heavy-duty intake filter are all included. Vibration isolation pads come with the unit to cut noise and protect the floor. The compressor is assembled in Texas, USA. Dimensions are 36 x 24 x 74 in and the machine weighs 950 lbs. A 1 year warranty applies. Installation is simple: level the unit, install the isolation pads, connect the discharge valve to the air line, and land power at the starter. A licensed electrician should confirm the branch circuit rating against the current draw shown here. For the longest pump life, keep the oil at the sight glass mark, replace the intake filter on schedule and let the automatic drain do its job by keeping its outlet clear. The two-stage design compresses air in two steps with cooling in between, which reduces heat and puts less stress on the valves than a single-stage pump working at the same pressure.
