This 2 HP portable electric reciprocating compressor is meant for garages, small shops and mobile service work where compressed air is needed without a big installation. Its pump delivers 10 CFM at 116-145 PSI, and the unit plugs into ordinary 110-115V single-phase power at 60 Hz. A cast iron pump turning at 3,500 RPM is paired with steel valves and an industrial electric motor, and power reaches the pump through a V-belt drive behind an enclosed guard. An automatic pressure switch starts and stops the motor as tank pressure falls and recovers, and the electrical controls are UL rated.
